Hello Team,
I’m excited to share some great news! On Tuesday, September 30, 2025, our entire school will be going on a schoolwide field trip to the Shedd Aquarium! This will be a powerful learning experience connected to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM), and we want to make it meaningful for every student.
Key Details:
-
Departure: 8:30 a.m. from C.E. Hughes
-
Return: 1:45 p.m.
-
Cost: FREE for all students!
-
Chaperones: Teachers, please secure 1 chaperone for every 10 students in your classroom.
-

-
Uniforms: All students are required to wear their school uniform.
-
Extras: Students may bring money for souvenirs or snacks (optional). They may also bring their cell phones to capture images of the incredible scientific artifacts they will see.

Leadership: A huge thank you to Mrs. Henderson, who will be spearheading this trip.
Lastly, I’m requesting your full support in making this trip a success—so please don’t call off (lol). Your presence and teamwork are essential in ensuring this experience is safe, engaging, and memorable for our scholars.
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
With excitement, Dr. Larue Fitch Principal
